We got a call at 6am this morning from our facilitator in Ukraine. Our court date has been moved up to July 13th. We leave one week from today.
For a "planner" like me, this ping-pong behavior is difficult! I had just gotten comfortable with the fact that we would have a couple more weeks to do things around here so these poor children aren't shocked by my lack of organization and cleanliness (the orphanage is spotless), but not so now.
Of course, there was always this thought in my head that even if they come home to a perfect house and garden, there was no way it was going to stay that way so why worry about it? Guess I'll get my brain wrapped around that, too! :)
some day, there will be an end to this craziness!
ReplyDeleteEarly court date - hopefully a sign to come for all that remains. Let us know if you want us to come down a speed clean while you are gone! (And you are right the orphanage is spotless).
ReplyDeleteOh, my heart breaks reading your story. I'll continue to follow your blog, and will pray that you will have all of your children on the same continent very soon. I just ran across your blog--we have submitted our paperwork and are waiting for our SDA appointment. We are trying to adopt two brothers that we met while in Ukraine recently. Hopefully we can better prepare for our adoption trip having read about your crazy experience. May God grant you strength for this (hopefully) final trip!
ReplyDeleteAll our best,
Curt and Jocelyn
